– SCRAPS -

After the national release of their debut album “Sport”, Brisbane Electro-punkers Re:Enactment continue the party by releasing their new single “Scraps,” the 4th lifted from the album. “Scraps” is an upbeat, sing-a-long dance track packed into 4 minutes & 2 seconds of head-nodding electronica goodness.

“Scraps was written whilst Re:Enactment were stuck at home during the 2011 Brisbane Floods. We Were putting the finishing touches on our album “Sport” and came up with this late addition”
Jim – Re:Enactment

Re:Enactment have received significant play from community stations FBi Radio (Sydney), 4zzz (Brisbane), and national broadcaster Triple J (Home & Hosed, Arvos, Weekends) & their album was also recently reviewed in Mess + Noise.

“Equally modern and nostalgic, Scraps is one of the slickest examples of Re:Enactment’s sinewy electronic pop. It’s got a killer chorus and synth tones to lose yourself in. Well overdue, this could be the one that sees them cross over.”

Wailing guitars, galloping drums, and soaring vocals are the core elements of Brisbane stadium rock 3-piece, SKYPILOT. Formed in 2009 from the ashes of a collective of Brisbane bands, Simon Crossley, Matt Flynn, & Dan Lane joined forces to punch out some seriously catchy and grand scale songs.

“This EP is us trying to find a musical landscape we like to exist in, together. Five different worlds we like to visit. No need for commerce to influence this recording finding its place. Pay what you like, or don’t – It’s yours.”
Simon Crossley – SKYPILOT

With a similar sonic appeal of Grand Atlantic meets The National meets U2, SKYPILOT take you on a journey through atmospheric rock soundscapes all the way to chaotic crescendos. Not to be missed live.

RE:ENACTMENT – SPORT

OUT NOW

through Lofly Records

The debut album from Brisbane’s Re:Enactment is now available nationally.

Download FREE or for a $10 dontation (if you’d like to contribute to future projects).

“If you’re an impoverished music fan in a place where the only way to afford buying music is to either sell off your pet goat or sister, then I’m genuinely excited at the prospect of you not having to do that in order to own our music. If, however, you are a yuppie, punishing, snot of a human being that expects the world to give you everything for free, including good music, again, I’m genuinely excited to give you what you want while at the same time never having to meet or interact with you in person. Ever. Technology is exciting! Isn’t it? Everybody wins!

If, however, you are willing to part with some of your monetary credits for an exceptional collection of songs. Songs that we would dearly love you all to have, rest assured, you’re money will go to great and creative use. The most obvious being more pay what you want Re:Enactment albums! It’s like a perpetual dessert of satisfaction lined from nothing but the shrapnel in your pockets! Or air in your pockets. Or lack of pockets!

So, there’s surprises galore for Re:Enactment and you, the owner of this potentially free album called “Sport”. I hope these surprises find you well on every lovingly put together track on this record!

Props.”
